IRR-Residential Consultants has a broad range of valuation experience with all types of real estate including residential, commercial, industrial, office, multi-family, mixed-use and special-purpose properties. IRR-Residential Consultants has been engaged by a variety of clients, including a number of large corporations and government agencies, to do various valuation and consulting assignments.
The principals of IRR-Residential Consultants are Gary S. Wright, MAI, SRA and James A. Herbig, SRA, both of whom have been appraising real estate since 1972. Mr. Wright and Mr. Herbig are former officers of both the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. Mr. Wright and Mr. Herbig have extensive experience valuing a variety of residential properties, including large estates and developments within the southwest Ohio area.
Mr. Wright received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1972. Throughout his career, Mr. Wright has taught real estate valuation to a number of different organizations. Mr. Herbig received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Miami University in Oxford Ohio.
Mr. Wright is a Certified General Appraiser in the states of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Mr. Herbig is a Certified General Appraiser in the state of Ohio.

Gary S. Wright, MAI, SRA – Managing Director has been a real estate appraiser and broker since 1972, when he joined his father’s firm, Charles G. Wright & Associates, a well-known brokerage and valuation firm. In 1973, Mr. Wright affiliated with Steven S. Strickland & Associates, also a well-known general valuation firm, specializing in residential property. Mr. Wright expanded the commercial valuation portion of the business to a point, where today, it represents the primary business of the company. In 1979, Mr. Wright became of partner with Mr. Strickland, changing the firm name to Strickland & Wright. In 1991, Mr. Wright became sole owner of Strickland & Wright, purchasing the company from the retiring Mr. Strickland. In 1999, Mr. Wright was one of the founding members of Integra Realty Resources.

James A. Herbig, SRADirector

Over the past 30 years, Mr. Herbig has had experience in all types of residential and commercial real property including, commercial, industrial, office, multi-family, mixed-use and special purpose properties. Mr. Herbig has been engaged by a number of large local, regional and national lenders, as well as corporate and government clients.
Mr. Herbig has been a real estate appraiser since 1972 starting as a residential appraiser with Gem City Savings, a Dayton, Ohio area savings and loan. In 1976, he moved to Security Federal Savings and Loan in Florida as the Chief Appraiser for the lender. In 1978, he returned to Dayton as the assistant manager of the appraisal division of Gem City Savings and later ran the construction division of Realty Appraisal and Management Corporation, a service corporation of Gem City Savings. In 1985, Mr. Herbig was one of the founding partners of Gutmann & Middleton, Inc., a large Southwest Ohio real estate appraisal firm. Mr. Herbig joined Integra in 2001 as a full partner.
Mr. Herbig received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Miami University in Oxford Ohio.
Mr. Herbig is a former officer and director on the Society of Real Estate Appraisers and the Appraisal Institute and is currently the Treasurer of the Cardinal Ohio Chapter and Region V of the Appraisal Institute.
Mr. Herbig received the SRA designation in 1980. He is a Certified General Appraiser in the state of Ohio.
