Tom Munizzo is the Chief Appraiser and Compliance Officer for IRR-Residential. In that capacity, Mr. Munizzo has responsibility for establishing policy and oversight regarding the company’s appraisal products and regulatory compliance issues.
Mr. Munizzo formerly owned and operated a third generation appraisal firm in the Chicago area before his firm was acquired by REAS, the vendor management company of Charter One Bank. He became a regional chief appraiser with REAS overseeing the Midwest region. Prior to joining IRR-Residential, Tom had been with Indy Mac Bank since mid 2005.
In 2006, Tom was the national president of the NAIFA organization, a national trade organization for real estate appraisers. He has been recognized by NAIFA as both the National Appraiser of the year and as the National Instructor of the year. He currently serves on the appraisal industry’s Legislative Coalition.
