John Wood, President
John K. Wood, III
John Wood is the President of IRR-Residential and sits on its Board. He has been with the company since its formation in 2005. He has primary responsibility for the vendor management operations of the company.
From 1987 to 2000, Mr. Wood was President of First Realty Advisors, Inc., a Kansas City based company that developed software and Internet applications for the commercial appraisal industry. In 2000, in connection with the sale of First Realty Advisors’ appraiser oriented products, Wood relocated to Los Angeles, CA, to join PropertyFirst, Inc., a then recent start-up company, as Vice President in charge of the development, operation and marketing of an Internet-based application in association with the Appraisal Institute. In 2001, PropertyFirst merged with LoopNet, Inc. and Wood joined LoopNet as a Vice President.
In late 2002, Marshall & Swift, the leading provider of construction cost data to the appraisal industry, acquired the Appraisal Institute Commercial Database project from LoopNet. Wood joined Marshall & Swift as a Vice President and continued to oversee the project. Wood left Marshall & Swift and returned to Kansas City after Marshall & Swift was sold to MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates in June 2004.
